TOM TIERNAN
President and Chief Executive Officer
Prior to joining Gerber in February 2012, Tom Tiernan was the President, Chief Executive Officer and Director of Synaptics, a leading human interface technology provider to consumer electronics markets. During his 5 years with Synaptics, Tiernan led the company's aggressive growth and diversification, more than tripling revenues while posting record financial, customer and employee results. Before Synaptics, Tiernan served as Vice President and General Manager of Symbol Technologies' $1 billion Mobile Computing Division, where he led the businesses' restructuring and return to best-in-class profitability prior to its sale to Motorola. Tiernan began his career at Hewlett Packard, where he held various executive and general management positions around the world. He holds a M.S. in Computer Engineering from Santa Clara University, and a B.S. in Electrical Engineering from California State Polytechnic University. |
