Gerber Technology Acquires Avametric, Deepens Investment to Provide End-to-End 3D Solution For Fashion Industry
Gerber Technology announced today that it has acquired San Francisco based Avametric. Avametric develops the world’s leading cloth simulation technology and enables fashion brands to deliver highly accurate 3D renderings of their products on customizable avatars for e-commerce and augmented reality (AR) applications.
Visibility through the entire workflow helps companies be more productive and collaborate to bring new products to market faster than before. “With the implementation of YuniquePLM, we are able to work at a quicker pace than ever before and have control of the full product development process from idea to production,” said Robin Mostacero, CEO at aim’n.
Gerber Technology announced today that Créations Fusalp™ has chosen YuniquePLM® to power their company from design to production giving them ‘one version of the truth’ while managing their products’ lifecycles. “We found that Gerber’s YuniquePLM was the most robust system to effectively deliver data from our creative team through to production of the garments,” said Sophie Duflos and Odile Renard, both drivers of the supply chain at Fusalp.
Fast fashion can be slowed down by the physical sampling process. Additionally, the costs of samples are a continued concern in the fashion and apparel industry. “The implementation of Gerber’s AccuMark® 3D and YuniquePLM® will help us to address consumer trends immediately, making sure to have the right style with the correct fit as demand changes,” said Marta Bosch, chief operation officer at Happypunt.
